How does a welded container lockbox prevent bolt cutter attacks?

The lockbox consists of heavy-gauge Corten steel plates that completely enclose the padlock on all five sides. Because the padlock is inserted upwards into a recessed shroud, bolt cutter jaws cannot physically reach or grip the hardened steel shackle. Is a welded lockbox more secure than a bolt-on lockbox?

Yes, a welded lockbox is permanently fused to the Corten steel door sheet and tubular locking bars via continuous penetration welding. Unlike bolt-on units that can be levered off with heavy wrecking bars, a welded shroud cannot be physically separated from the container door.

What type of padlock is required for the container lockbox?

The lockbox is engineered for high-security monoblock or shutter padlocks meeting European standards CEN Class 4 or CEN Class 5 (such as Cisa, Mul-T-Lock, or Abus Granit). These locks feature solid hardened steel bodies and straight boron alloy rotating shackle pins. Can multiple container locks be keyed alike for our construction site?

Yes, we can supply padlocks in keyed-alike sets so that a single master key opens all storage containers on your jobsite. Does the lockbox protect the padlock cylinder from winter freezing?

Yes, because the padlock cylinder is positioned upwards inside the protective steel shroud, it is completely shielded from direct rain, snow, and ice accumulation.
