Can a steel personnel door be installed in any position on the container?

Yes, doors can be fitted into long side walls or the closed end wall. The only structural constraint is maintaining sufficient clearance from the corner posts and upper and lower rails so the welded hollow-section reinforcement frame can be fully integrated into the load-bearing steel structure.

Does cutting a door opening weaken the shipping container?

Cutting corrugated paneling temporarily reduces shear stiffness, which is why a heavy-gauge rectangular steel frame is continuously seam-welded around the aperture. This structural subframe fully restores load transfer and rigidity, ensuring the container remains completely safe during lifting, transport and stacking.

Is the personnel door insulated against winter condensation?

Yes, the door leaf is constructed from galvanized sheet steel skins bonded to a dense insulated mineral wool or polyurethane core. Combined with dual-perimeter EPDM rubber compression seals, it prevents thermal bridging and completely eliminates condensation forming on the interior face.

What security features protect against break-in attempts?

The door features a heavy-duty multi-point locking mechanism that drives solid steel deadbolts into the reinforced frame. Anti-jemmy dog bolts on the hinge side prevent removal if hinges are attacked, while a hardened security escutcheon shields the lock cylinder against drilling and snapping.

Can the personnel door be keyed alike with other site locks?

The lock accepts standard European profile cylinders, allowing it to be easily keyed to match your existing company master key suite, configured with keyed-alike cylinders across multiple containers, or integrated with electronic digital access control keypads and smart lock cylinders.
