Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.
To exercise this right you must inform us by a clear statement, for example a letter or an email, of your decision to withdraw. Sending the notification before the period expires is sufficient to meet the deadline.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from the contract we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and within fourteen days at the latest. The refund is issued after the goods have been received and inspected at the depot.
Return freight for containers and modular buildings
The buyer bears the direct cost of returning shipping containers by freight forwarder. These costs are substantial because the goods are heavy freight, and they depend on location, container size and access at the collection point. Depending on distance, expect roughly 300 to 1,200 euro. We will quote the exact cost on request before the return is arranged.
The goods must be accessible and ready for collection at the original delivery location. Any crane or side-lifter costs arising from how the unit was sited are also borne by the buyer.
Diminished value
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods where that loss results from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Structural changes, cut openings, repainting and fit-outs are not considered necessary inspection.
Exclusions
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for goods that are not prefabricated and are made on the basis of an individual choice by the consumer, or that are clearly tailored to personal requirements. This applies in particular to custom conversion work.
Business customers
The statutory right of withdrawal applies to consumers. Orders placed in the course of a commercial or self-employed professional activity are governed by our general terms and conditions.
